The 1990's were a time of fun and fashion. The fashion was a bit different from our clothing choices now. There were brighter colors, bolder designs, and bigger styles. Think back to your favorite shows of the time- "Saved by the Bell," "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," and "Friends." But what if I told you that some of those fashions are making a comeback here in 2016?

There have been a few trends in recent months that have really made an impact. The first, I would say is chokers. Many people have worn these tight necklaces either on the red carpet or out bowling. There are many different styles and colors. But, the most popular has been the simple, black tattoo choker. This was worn by just about every teen 90's/early 2000's sitcom. Now, not only are they coming back in the same fashion, but there are new variations of this old trend, even on the red carpet. Stars such as Emma Stone and Rihanna have been spotted wearing these 90's fashion accessories, but in a much fancier context, which seems to work for them, very well!

Another fashion trend that has crept its way into this spring is two-piece dresses. These have been around here and there for about a year now. But, please, take one look at any store that sells prom dresses and count how many of those are one full piece. Truthfully, not many. Why? Two-piece dresses were popular in the 90's. Well, they weren't exactly dresses, then, were they? Many girls would wear short shirts with skirts pulled up to slightly above the hips. Basically, it was a great trend because it could be worn very casually. Now, they are turning into fancier versions of the same old thing. Hmm... sound familiar?

There are plenty more trends that come and go from the 1990's. But, something very intersting is that many of these trends have become fancier, a brighter, more clear version of what once was. Obviously, this is due to the fact that the 90's were so grunge, with influences of "Nirvana." And then later turned brighter with Britney Spears and "The Spice Girls." Now, with people like Taylor Swift, things of taken a turn for the more classic, say "Audrey Hepburn" look. So, it is no surprise that these trends have taken a turn for the bestter!
